Georgia mom killed before Christmas; Police name her son suspect

Georgia authorities have arrested a 38-year-old man they accused of killing his mom during an assault at the family home in White, Ga.

Police were called to Katrina Kay Garrity's home on Dec. 20 and pronounced her dead at the scene.

The 62-year-old mom had signs of assault when another relative discovered her unresponsive body at the Greatwood Drive home.

    “Our lives have been changed forever. There is no comprehension of the future there is no site of recovery,” a family member said on Facebook.

    “My family is in a pool of pain and confusion. Please God help my boys thru this as I don’t know where to begin. The pain in my heart is from the look in their eyes.”

    The Sheriff’s Office is not planning to make other arrests.
