Clinton woman arrested after man passes away from heroin overdose while at residence

Indiana authorities have arrested a Clinton woman after a man died from heroin overdose at a residence on New Year’s Day.

Samual Greene, 30, was pronounced dead at around 3:30 a.m. at a home located on N. 9th Street, Clinton from an apparent heroin overdose.

At the home, detectives arrested Sabrina Dailey, 26, whom they said hesitated to call police after realizing Greene’s struggle and instead, called a friend of his.

  • The following day, Dailey confessed that she brought the drug to the residence and used it as well. Drug paraphernalia and heroin were seized at the scene.

    Dailey was booked into the Vermillion County Jail on Saturday. She was charged with possession of heroin, according to court documents.

    Her bond was set at $10,000. She could be released on bond after posting 10 percent of the sum.

    An autopsy was scheduled for Saturday.
