Since the WSJ report about Attorney General William Barr’s efforts to keep Hunter Biden’s political and financial affairs under wraps, President Trump has been attacking the former ally leading to his resignation.
Just before Barr’s decision, Trump took to Twitter to share a criticizing post against him adding his own comment: “Big Disappointment!”
“IF Biden gets in, nothing will happen to Hunter or Joe. Barr will do nothing, and the new group of partisan killers coming in will quickly kill it all,” Trump added.
But just hours later, Trump completely changed his mind announcing Barr’s departure.
“Just had a very nice meeting with Attorney General Bill Barr at the White House. Our relationship has been a very good one; he has done an outstanding job!”
“As per letter, Bill will be leaving just before Christmas to spend the holidays with his family,” he added.
“Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen, an outstanding person, will become Acting Attorney General. Highly respected Richard Donoghue will be taking over the duties of Deputy Attorney General. Thank you to all!”
The last tweets came after Barr’s resignation letter that touted the President’s “unprecedented achievements” and “many successes.”
