According to local news outlets, the full-time Instagram influencer, Alexis Sharkley, whose lifeless and naked body was located near her home over the weekend had some marital problems and filed for divorce prior to her death.
On Black Friday, the 26-year-old model entered in a dispute with an unknown person at about 6 p.m. a few moments before she mysteriously disappeared, her shocked mother, Stacey Robinault, reported.
The next day, the influencer’s remains were discovered under bushes by a garbage truck driver who spotted her feet on the roadside and called 911.
Detectives believe she’s been there for at least one night.
The late social media influencer who had 21,000 followers got married in December 2019. Following news of her passing, her husband issued a statement.
“She was amazing,” Tom said. “You made life so incredible!”
Her close friend, however, said that she planned for divorce following unspecified issues with her husband Tom.
“Recently, she opened up to us about it and divorce was being filed.”
“She was a very private person. She didn’t share a lot about what was going on at home.”
The victim’s body had no injuries when it was found. As for now, the investigation is ongoing to determine her cause of death.
“The way in which she was found – my child would never do that to herself. That doesn’t even make sense. That is absolutely foul play,” Stacey Robinault told reporters.
