A Missouri mom of two has been found dead one day after vanishing in a wooded area that is only a block away from where she lived.
22-year-old Amethyst Killian left her St. Peters home on Thursday at around 1 a.m. and walked to a local gas station, but never returned.
Her family reported her missing at around 8 p.m. that same day and found some of her belongings near the wooded area where her body was later discovered.
The scene is only one block from the home where she lived with her children, boyfriend, mom, and stepdad.
“She seemed like a wonderful mother. They just seemed like such a close, wonderful family,” a neighbor said.
Killian is survived by a 7-year-old daughter and 5-month-old son. She was planning to get married in a near future, according to her family.
