A Cuban actress was discovered dead on the shoreline of Miami Beach on Wednesday after she went outside to get cigarettes, reports said.
Cuban star Broselianda Hernandez Boudet was found dead at around 6:30 a.m. on the beach near 79th Street and Collins Avenue by a passerby.
The 56-year-old was famous in Cuba for movies like “Habanera” and “Things I left in Havana.”
She was last seen alive on Tuesday night when she left her home to purchase cigarettes. Her cause of death is being investigated but authorities believe she had drowned.
Boudet lived in Miami for five years prior to her death. Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel mourned her passing on Twitter.
“Farewell to an exceptional actress named Broselianda. We mourn her early loss. Our condolences to her family and friends.”
