San Angelo news, Texas news.

Texas authorities were in shock after discovering that an eight-week-old girl has been injected with heroin by her mom, and left to die for a while before her grandmother called 911.

21-year-old Destiney Harbour, her mother Christin Bradley, 37, and Bradley’s boyfriend Dustin Smock, 34, were all arrested and charged with serious bodily injury to a child.

Harbour’s newborn daughter had needle marks on her head, arm and hand and tested positive for heroin. She had turned blue and was unconscious when police arrived at the scene.

Officers tried to save the toddler’s life by performing CPR on the way to the hospital at around 1:20 a.m. Sunday. She was in cardiorespiratory failure when she reached the Shannon Medical Center.

A preliminary investigation revealed that Harbour had given birth to the baby at her home with the help of Bradley and Smock.

The infant never left the home since or saw a doctor. Her grandmother and Smock were accused of delaying getting help for the child until her condition worsened.

At the home, detectives seized drug paraphernalia, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, and pills.
