Washington D.C. news, Washington news.

White House officials described how a “black mood” has fallen over the Presidential residence following Joe Biden’s victory and reported the Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner approached him about conceding.

The 39-year-old man is in the center of blames being accused of causing Trump campaign loss, the sources who asked for anonymity added.

“The only constant in this campaign, from Day One to the very last day, was Kushner,” an official told The Washington Post.

“So if the president wins, Kushner deserves credit, but if he loses, Kushner deserves the blame.”

Kushner and Ivanka were expected to be the only close relatives of Trump who can talk concession in front of him, while his adult sons Eric and Donald Jr. preferred to fan the flames of legal suits and fraud accusations.

Some Trump’s aides, however, stood by Kushner’s side claiming that without Kushner’s efforts, the sitting President’s reelection campaign would’ve been a real disaster.

“The expectation was the campaign would be beaten by a large margin and thanks to the infrastructure Jared set up; it came down to a few thousand votes in a few states,” an official said.

Trump was also urged by fellow Republicans to adhere to a smooth transition and deliver a conciliatory speech.

It was also reported that Trump would “grudgingly” vacate the White House in January but without arranging the traditional meeting between incoming and outgoing American Presidents.
