The Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden said Tuesday that he has no plans to debate a coronavirus-infected Trump next week.

“I think if he still has Covid, then we shouldn’t have a debate,” Biden said as he boarded a plane in Hagerstown, Maryland.

He added that strict safety guidelines should be met if he were to participate in the debate since he has no idea of Trump’s health condition after he was discharged from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

Biden, who tested negative for Covid yesterday, had initially claimed he would participate in the debate if “scientists say that it’s safe, that distances are safe,” before changing his mind.

On the other side, Trump tweeted Tuesday that he will take part in the looming debate: “I am looking forward to the debate on the evening of Thursday, October 15th in Miami. It will be great!”
