Police seek help in identifying young homicide victim found floating on LI

Authorities in Nassau County are seeking the public’s help in identifying a youth whose body was recovered from Long Island waters earlier this month.

The victim, who was described as Black or Hispanic and aged between 15 and 20, was found floating in the Village of Island Park near Long Beach on April 8.

Officers responded to reports of a “body in the water” near a dock on Railroad Place at around 11 a.m.

    Police said the victim was 5 feet 4 and weighed around 130 pounds. He was reportedly wearing black cargo pants and a beige T-shirt with black lettering and designs.
