Police in D.C. are investigating human remains found in a trash bin near Nationals Park on January 3.
The decedent was identified this week as 42-year-old Harry J. Keels.
He was last seen alive on Nov. 3, about a block away from the scene where his body was found in the 1400 block of Canal Street SW.

An autopsy determined that Keels was shot dead. But it was unclear how long his remains had been in the trash before the grisly discovery.
No arrests were made in connection with the incident.
Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of $25,000.
