A California man was arrested this week after he allegedly threw his girlfriend from a third-story balcony, killing her, police said.
57-year-old Albert Turner allegedly threw Irene Williams, 61, from a balcony at around 7:20 p.m. Monday.
Witnesses reported the shocking incident, sending officers to the apartment complex in the 500 block of West San Ysidro Boulevard.
Investigators said Williams tossed some of Turner’s belongings from the balcony during an argument before he threw her “head first” in retaliation.
“Before I made it to my car, I hear a commotion and I turn around and he’s gotten a hold of her from behind and heaves her over the balcony, and she cartwheels and hits head first on the ground”, a witness said.
Williams suffered severe head trauma and a broken femur and died from her injuries.
Turner, who remained on scene, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder.
