A missing Maryland woman’s body was found covered in concrete and poorly hidden inside her apartment after her boyfriend allegedly beat her to death.
Michael McClanahan, 38, faces charges of murder and attempt to dispose of a body in connection with the death of Sherron Turner, 44.
Police were conducting a welfare check at the couple’s residence in Suitland on April 24 when they made the discovery of Turner’s body.
“Her body was wrapped in plastic and partially covered in concrete. The Homicide Unit was notified and assumed the investigation into her death,” police said.
Turner’s death was ruled a homicide by blunt force trauma. Her boyfriend was arrested for a different offense after he allegedly stabbed a person at a Walmart Supercenter in Washington D.C.
A motive for the slaying remains unclear, but the crime was deemed a “domestic-related murder.”
