A shooting outside a Frayser sports bar and grill left two people dead and three others wounded early Tuesday morning.
Police responded to the Infiniti Sports Bar & Grill on 2536 North Watkins Street shortly before 2 a.m. Tuesday.
One of the two male victims was found dead at the scene, and the other succumbed at Regional One Hospital.
Two other men were rushed to the hospital by a private car and were listed in critical condition.
A fifth victim showed up at the hospital seeking treatment for non-critical injuries.
Investigators learned that an argument inside the club led to the shooting. No charges have been filed.
“Places like this. When you’ve got everything going on, it needs to be monitored,” a resident said.
“They've got to come up with something. You know we can't do it. That's what we are choosing them for. You know, help us fight our crime.”
“We have to do something as a community is just not a person who holds status. This is a US thing,” Memphis City Councilman JB Smiley Jr. added.
