President Donald Trump teased a looming “earth-shattering” announcement on Tuesday night, leaving the internet in speculation.
Trump made the mysterious revelation inside the Oval Office during his meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
“We have a very big announcement to make,” he said. “It’s not about trade, it’s about something else, but it’s going to be a truly earth-shattering and positive development for this country and for the people of this country.”
“And that will take place some time within the next few days.”
The President added that he would share the “very, very big news” before his next week’s trip to the Middle East.
Even sources close to the administration admitted to the New York Post that they weren’t sure what Trump was planning to announce.
Some social media users shared wild theories about the curious announcement suggesting it may be about aliens or a “new memecoin.”
Others shared that the announcement may be related to the Middle East trip, which starts May 13 and is set to include important commercial and defense deals.
