A pregnant Kansas woman was found dead in the car trunk of her boyfriend, authorities in Wichita said.
19-year-old Zaiylah Bronson and her unborn baby were declared dead on Saturday after her body was located inside the trunk of a car parked outside an apartment complex.
It was a relative of the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Alexander Lewis, who alerted police to the murder informing authorities that he may have harmed the teen.
Investigators believe that Bronson’s death was the result of a domestic violence incident. The victim was described as “a vibrant soul with dreams, aspirations, and love.
“Zaiylah was unexpectedly and tragically taken from us as a result of domestic violence,” a GoFundMe for the family reads.
Lewis was arrested on murder charges. He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
