The dismembered body of a missing crypto mogul was discovered by Bulgarian plumbers in a sewer on August 12.
US and Bulgaria citizen Christian Peev, 41, was reported missing by his relative two days after his chopped-up body was found by the horrified workers.
Detectives said that the victim was killed on August 8 or 9 by Vesco Valchinov. His body was then mutilated and flushed down the toilet clogging the drain.
When the suspect couldn’t flush the victim’s skull and bones down the toilet, he decided to bury them with the help of accomplice Konstantin Subotinov.
Peev was a millionaire crypto investor who threw high-profile parties for his friends including Valchinov, who worked as a bartender.
The victim has reportedly helped Valchinov start a cryptocurrency business which suggests the motive behind the grisly murder was financial.
