A tragic house fire in southeastern Wisconsin left three people dead early Friday morning.
The Watertown Fire Department responded to reports of a house blaze at around 12:30 a.m. Friday with residents trapped inside the burning property.

Firefighters failed to enter the building as they were met by thick smoke and flames. Once the flames were extinguished, the bodies of three victims were found at the scene.
The identities of the deceased were not determined. Fire Chief Travis Teesch said that the incident remains under investigation.
Several agencies were also at the scene and assisted with the fire.
