President Donald Trump said he is open to forgiving his former “first buddy,” Elon Musk, after their social media feud over the “Big Beautiful Bill.”

Trump told Pod Force One host Miranda Devine that he “could” forgive Musk after a week of back-and-forth insults and attacks.

“I have no hard feelings. But I was really surprised that that happened,” Trump said.

“He went after a bill that’s phenomenal; it’s the best thing we’ve ever signed in this country.”

Early Wednesday, Musk admitted on his social media platform X that some of his posts “went too far.”

“I regret some of my posts about President Donald Trump last week. They went too far,” the billionaire wrote.

Devine asked Trump what he believes triggered the Tesla boss’s anger.

“I don’t know what his problem is really, I don’t know. I haven’t thought much about it in the last little while. I think he feels very badly, he said that, actually,” Trump answered.
