Washington DC news, Washington news.

Former White House secretary Karine Jean-Pierre announced Wednesday that she is no longer a Democrat as she prepares to release a tell-all book about the “broken” Biden administration.

The 50-year-old who served as former President Joe Biden’s spokeswoman for two years and eight months will release her book “Independent: A Look Inside a Broken White House, Outside the Party Lines” on Oct. 21.

“Jean-Pierre didn’t come to her decision to be an Independent lightly,” a promotional release from Hachette Book Group stated.

“She has served two American presidents, Obama and Biden…She takes us through the three weeks that led to Biden’s abandoning his bid for a second term and the betrayal by the Democratic Party that led to his decision.”

In response to the announcement, a Democratic source fired back at Jean-Pierre, telling The Post the press secretary was “incompetent.”

“What her publisher means to tell readers is that she is INCOMPETENT, not independent. Just incompetent. But we don’t need to read about it – we watched it,”
