Authorities in Washington have released new surveillance images of a 32-year-old father accused of killing his three daughters during a scheduled visit last week.
The search for Army veteran Travis Decker intensified after the bodies of his three daughters, Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5, were discovered at a Leavenworth campsite on Monday.
The girls’ wrists were reportedly zip-tied with plastic bags over their heads. It is believed the girls died of asphyxiation.
Chelan County Undersheriff Dan Ozment shared the new photos of the suspect at a Wednesday press conference.
“These are the most recent photos and videos we have that reveal his last known appearance,” Ozment said.
Decker’s images from a Ring doorbell depicted him in the days leading up to the massacre, wearing a light-colored T-shirt and dark shorts.
He could be seen with tattoos all down his arm and his long hair pulled back. He also had a goatee and a mustache.
The manhunt now involved the Wenatchee Police Department, the US Border Patrol, and Homeland Security investigations.
The US Marshals Service is offering a reward of up to $20,000 for information leading to an arrest.
Decker, who faces three counts of first-degree murder and first-degree kidnapping, could “pose a significant risk if approached” due to his extensive combat training, officials said.
