Former President Donald Trump commented on a recent survey showing him 10 points ahead of President Joe Biden claiming that such a poll “doesn’t matter.”
Trump made the remarks during a speech in South Carolina Monday, referring to an ABC News/Washington Post survey published Sunday.
“It’s hard for Republicans to lead by that much in the fake news media,” he said. “When they see these numbers they get crazy.”
The presidential candidate added that the numbers were the result of liberals changing their minds about Biden.
“Nobody can want to vote for this guy, nobody,” he said of the President.
“And maybe he makes it to the gate, I don’t know if he makes it to the gate. I don’t think it even matters anymore because they have been so destructive to our country, what they’ve done as a party, that I don’t think it matters.”
“Who are they going to put in? A guy from California that’s destroyed the state,” Trump said referring to Governor Gavin Newsom.
“They going to put in Kamala, Kamala? Actually, our numbers are better against Kamala than they are against Joe, so maybe we’d like Kamala too.”
