Los Angeles news, California news.

The mother of a murder suspect was the one to discover his victim’s lifeless body wrapped in plastic inside his bedroom at a South Los Angeles home, authorities said.

Hannah Rachel Collins was identified as the woman whose body was found wrapped in plastic in the bedroom of a 26-year-old Hispanic man.

The suspect’s mother made the gruesome discovery at around 1:15 a.m. Sunday when she went to investigate a “gas smell” emanating from the room.

A former friend of Collins said that she had just moved to Los Angeles in June adding that she was “fun, kind and loved music and dancing but, ultimately, drugs took a hold of her” ending their friendship.

“I don’t like to hang out with people who do drugs or are intoxicated while they’re driving or stealing things,” the friend stated.

“I’m in shock because what I want to associate with Hannah is the happier and healthier memories I have of her. She probably sought that lifestyle with drugs, but you never imagine the end would be so cold and cruel.”
