Scottsdale news, Arizona news.

The parents of an Arizona baby were arrested this week after their hydrocephalus-stricken baby was found stiff and dead in his playpen Sunday.

Braydon Pena and Shania Harris, 25, claimed they last saw their 1-year-old son alive 16 hours earlier when they put him to bed at around 10:30 p.m. March 23.

The couple claimed the baby suffered from hydrocephalus, a “buildup of fluid in cavities called ventricles deep within the brain”, and admitted to using drugs.

The parents were arrested on child abuse charges. Court records showed that the Department of Child Safety had previously dealt with them.
