Alabama middle school student dies after suffering medical emergency during PE class

An Alabama boy died after suffering a medical emergency at his middle school on Tuesday.

Liberty Middle School officials identified the deceased child as Morgan Williams, a seventh-grade student, adding that he died during a physical education class.

“It is with deep regret that we inform you about a recent loss to our school community,” School Principal Shannon Brown said in a letter to parents

  • First responders were called to the school’s football field at around 3 p.m. Tuesday and provided life-saving measures to no avail.

    “This loss has and will raise many emotions, concerns, and questions for our entire school, especially our students,” Brown added.

    “We are saddened by this loss to our school community and will make every effort to help you and your child as needed. Please keep the Williams family in your thoughts.”
