A missing toddler was found in a hot car Friday afternoon, authorities in Richland County, South Carolina said.
The 3-year-old boy was initially reported missing to police at around 1 p.m. Friday leading deputies to look for him in the area of Parliament Lake Drive.
Deputies found the missing child unresponsive inside a car and rendered first aid at the scene.

The boy was taken to an area hospital where he was declared dead.
The Sheriff’s office declined to disclose the child’s identity citing an ongoing investigation into the incident.
Temperatures in the area reached the upper 80s Friday afternoon.
