Two Iowa brothers were arrested in connection to the death of their father whose body was found in a rural ditch in Webster County last week.

Alec Jones, 26, was charged with first-degree murder and his 21-year-old brother Nathan Jones faces aiding and abetting first-degree murder over the slaying of their father Dennis Jones.

A mail carrier discovered the 55-year-old victim’s body on April 26 and called 911, Fort Dodge Police said.

“I can’t tell you anything. I don’t know nothing about, I don’t know,” she said.

“They are good boys. This wasn’t premeditated. Denny and I had an altercation earlier Thursday evening, and I went to bed.”
