US news, US news.

Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley said that he was confident that a vaccine against the coronavirus will likely be ready by the beginning of the fall and that the goal will be to have up to three hundred million doses by the beginning of January.

The Chairman said that if that scenario happens, mentioning that there are high chances of it happening, then the military along with the population will be immunized, and a rapid decrease in the disease throughout the country will be witnessed, adding that the country will go back to more normal conditions.

Milley made his comments Thursday during an online town hall with US forces and Defense Department staff alongside Defense Secretary Mark Esper.

Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar and Esper are leading the task force unveiled earlier this month by President Trump called ‘Operation Warp Speed’ that is working to develop a coronavirus vaccine by the end of the year.
