A Louisiana murder suspect has turned himself in to authorities after he was named a suspect in the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old mother he tried to kidnap following an argument.
Police said that 37-year-old Corrie Wallace forced his victim Ja’Riel Sam from her apartment to her car trunk as her 4-year-old son watched. He then drove away.
Sam managed to escape by jumping out the moving car despite sustaining road rash burns on her knees and body but was shot dead by Wallace who also jumped out of the car. Investigators are trying to figure out what led Wallace to kill Sam who was an acquaintance of his. Her son was later discovered traumatized and is currently with relatives.
