Weeks away from execution, death row inmate tests positive for coronavirus

The attorneys of a federal death row inmate have announced that he has tested positive for the coronavirus a few weeks ahead of his January execution.

Dustin John Higgs was on death row since 1996 after being convicted of a triple murder and his defense team has been concerned he may contract the virus at the FCI Terre Haute in Indiana.
