A Guatemalan migrant wanted for the vile, heinous killings of his girlfriend and her child was arrested Thursday, less than two miles from the crime scene.
Angel Cuz-Choc, 31, allegedly admitted to killing 36-year-old Amalia Coc de Pec and 4-year-old Estrella Pec Coc in a mobile home on Wednesday.
The woman was found brutally murdered in “her own puddle of blood” while her daughter was discovered inside the home.
“This murderer who brutally murdered and committed this heinous, vile, and unthinkable crime against these two innocent victims is under arrest,” said Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister.
Cuz-Choc was found hiding in woods near Interstate 4 where officers arrested him with the help of a K-9 unit.
He and the victims legally came to Florida from Guatemala about three months before the murders.
