Hampden County news, Massachusetts news.

A Massachusetts father has been taken into custody after his 5-year-old boy led police to him when he brought a bag of heroin to school.

The boy told his teacher that he turns into Spiderman when he tastes the powder in the bag. The teacher contacted the police and his 29-year-old father was arrested.

Benny Garcia, the father, was found sleeping on a bed with several bags of drugs beneath him. As he was being handcuffed, other bags fell from his body.

Garcia has pleaded not guilty to charges of drug possession and reckless endangerment of a child. Authorities have seized more than 200 bags of heroin and cocaine at his home.

"He loves Spiderman," Police Lt. James Albert said of the boy. "Our officers were quite taken by it all. You don't often deal with this."
