Police arrest man accused of stealing pizza delivery worker

An Chillicothe man has been arrested Monday after allegedly stealing a pizza delivery driver.

According to reports, the incident happened at a house on the 200 block of Mechanic Street around 4:37 p.m. while the driver was serving a pizza delivery.

Chillicothe police Capt. Ron Meyers said that when the driver was making change, 39-year-old Freddie L. Motley take the wallet and cash before fleeing the area: "The suspect alleged he had a gun by putting his hand in his jacket pocket and stating so. He then took the money."

Court records reported that the suspect is a homeless man.

His next preliminary hearing is set to be on Feb. 21 during which he will face second-degree felony count of robbery.
