Maintenance worker dies after bees' attack at Arizona golf course

A worker has died after being attacked by a swarm of bees while doing maintenance at a Tucson golf course on June 24.

Rick Messina was attacked by a passing swarm at the Pusch Ridge Golf Course in the Oro Valley while he worked on the eighth hole.

    “Rick was a dedicated and cherished member of our team, known for his exceptional work ethic, positive attitude, and unwavering commitment to his duties,” El Conquistador Golf representatives said in a statement.

    “His sudden passing is a profound loss to our work family and our community. He will be deeply missed by all.”
