Florida man drives to police station with slain girlfriend’s body

A Florida man was charged Monday with second-degree murder after he allegedly drove to a police station with his girlfriend’s body over the weekend.

Before showing up with the deceased woman at the Florida City police station late Saturday, Alexander Roque allegedly sent pictures of Yessenia Rodriguez Marquez’s body to his cousin and her estranged husband.

  • “You killed the victim then driving around in the car with her and sending pictures of her lifeless body to people,” Judge Mindy S. Glazer said.

    “The state may charge it as a first-degree murder.”

    Roque, 48, reportedly confessed to shooting the 44-year-old woman to death. A motive for the crime remains unclear.
