Authorities in central Indiana were investigating a fatal shooting that claimed three young people’s lives at an apartment complex Friday evening.
Officers responded to the scene in Lawrence at around 7:15 p.m. to reports of a shooting.
Three people were found suffering from gunshot wounds and were provided life-saving measures at the scene before they were eventually pronounced dead.
They were later identified as Aaliyah Wortman and Londyn Coleman, both 19, and 27-year-old Spencer Lawson Jr.
Authorities did not make an arrest in the case that remains under active investigation.
“Once again, we’re on the scene of a senseless crime,” said Lawrence Police Capt. Tracey Cantrell.
“The chief, the deputy chiefs, and myself in the department in the city as a whole. This is unacceptable.”
