Pennsylvania mom charged with homicide after refusing to perform CPR on agonizing infant

A Pennsylvania mom claimed she rolled onto her baby while they slept on a bed and refused to perform life-saving measures on the infant before his death, police said.

Darian Helmantoler’s 12-day-old son died on Tuesday after first responders found him bleeding from his nose.

The 22-year-old mother told police that a cut on the baby’s forehead was from his fingernails but couldn’t explain the blood on her clothes and on a towel she left in the bathroom.

    Helmantoler’s mother said that she lived with a man, contradicting her claims’ during questioning.

    She was arrested and charged with homicide, aggravated assault, child endangerment, and reckless endangerment.
