Colorado authorities are investigating an apparent murder-suicide that unfolded at a Monument residence over the weekend.
Christof Kreb, 55, is believed to have fatally shot his wife Yvette M. Siegert-Kreb, 50, and two of their six adoptive children, Felicity and Barrett Kreb, aged 13 and 9 respectively, before taking his own life.
The four bodies were found Saturday inside the family home in the 1300 block of Pleier Drive in Gleneagle.
“When deputies entered the residence, they found two juveniles and two adults deceased. The El Paso County Major Crime Unit detectives were called out to process the scene,” the Sheriff’s Office said.
A friend of the couple said that the kids were from China and were adopted with dwarfism, like their biological child.
“She wanted her son to feel like he had people like him in his life, so they specifically adopted children with dwarfism,” the friend said.
“I was so in awe of her devotion and dedication.”
