The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department has begun an investigation inside a southeast Charlotte home, after finding a lifeless man inside.
A family member reportedly contacted police on Sunday, around noon after finding the man dead inside the Old House Circle home.
The investigators then canvassed the scene and started questioning neighbors, all shocked about the man's death.
One of them, Cheryl Samuel said that the man was her neighbor for more than 30 years, and that he was sick lately. "It upset me terribly. It was just a shock. I wasn't expecting that," she added.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said the the man will be identified as soon as his family gets notified. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
