A 10-year-old New Jersey girl has died after she fell off a ride at the Deerfield Township Harvest Festival on Saturday night.
According to police, the unidentified girl fell to her death at around 6 p.m. as she was on the "Extreme" ride. Witnesses recall seeing the girl motionless after the fall. She was airlifted to Cooper University Health Care where she died on Sunday morning.
"I have a seven-year-old and just seeing the little girl it's so heartbreaking," Jessica Estrada Plasencia, a witness, said. "You would think your kids would be safe...I know you ride at your own risk, but they are there to make sure your kids are secure, to make sure kids aren't going to fall off a ride."
