A bobcat family wandered in Salt Lake City and Millcreek Utah in broad daylight this week, a rarity for animals.
Jolley told the station that the Bobcat population has declined this year due to what biologists consider to be a decrease in the number of rabbits, a common source of food.
Although neighborhoods have experienced other wildlife activities, including deer, quail, snakes and even hawks, bobcats are a rarity. The DWR has warned that cats are "cute but wild!"
The DWR warned locals to "bring your pets back at night and watch the lynx at bay" to avoid danger.
