Police officers from the Port Authority of John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York should have intervened following a fight on Thursday on a flight from the Delta.
A passenger, Juan Andres Ahmad, tweeted that the pilot had "no idea" of the presence of the crew on the ground and while the passengers were waiting, they received neither food nor water.
Local journalist Glenna Milberg was on the plane at the time and tweeted the video of a "small sample of growing chaos".
According to Delta, no passengers were involuntarily removed from the flight, which eventually left for Miami around 11 pm, eight hours late.
