A nine-year-old boy drowned on a cove Wednesday when he was with his mother, uncle and three other children.

Hillsborough County Sheriff, Chad Chronister, said the unidentified child was sitting on an embankment at Bullfrog Creek in Gibsonton, south of Tampa, when adults swam across the cove, leaving the boy on the other side. side.
