The World Cup-winning player Allie Long has been burglarized while she attended the EPSY Awards on Wednesday night.
"After the EPSYS show someone stole my wedding ring, cash and the key to my favorite city after just receiving it from my hotel room," she tweeted.
According to authorities someone broke into the player unlocked room at the Ritz-Carlton between 9 and 10 p.m. and stole an amount of cash, in addition to a ring and a symbolic key to New York City that was just offered to her by the city mayor Bill De Blasio. On Twitter, Long wondered: " Do you make copies? I would love a new one."
No suspect has been arrested in connection to the burglary incident, according to Los Angeles authorities.
