New York authorities are investigating the apparent murder-suicide of a mother and her three kids after their dead bodies were discovered in a rental car.
A tow-truck driver made the gruesome discovery as he was about to remove the overdue rental car from a driveway. The bodies were later identified as mom Crystal Savage, 35, and her three children Ari Ase, 8, Maya Ase, 7, and 3-year-old John Savage. They have probably died from carbon monoxide that resulted from a burning charcoal grill that the mother put in the car's trunk.
"The evidence that we have so far is that the three kids were high maintenance for mom. Mom had some physical issues that we don't exactly know what they were," said District Attorney William Fitzpatrick.
