An Alabama woman has been accused of murdering her soldier husband, according to authorities.
27-year-old Brittany Paonessa was charged with murder on Friday, a day after the deadly shooting of her husband Brandyn Paonessa, 26-year-old. The victim had just filed a protection order against his wife whom he described as "very unstable."
"The Maneuver Center of Excellence and Fort Benning extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Sgt. Brandyn Llyod Paonessa", said the officials at Fort Benning. Paonessa had been serving in the Army since 2013 and deployed twice to Afghanistan, according to news reports.
Brittany was booked into the Lee County Detention Facility.
