According to Oakland authorities, a police officer was aggressively attacked by knife while walking to his parked vehicle after finishing work last Thursday.
In a statement, the Oakland Police Department said that the stabbing incident unfolded around 5:37 p.m., when the victim was walking to his car after wrapping up his shift. Suddenly, "a suspect approached and stabbed the officer." His name was not released at this time.
No more information has been provided by police but they confirmed that the victim was rushed to a nearby medical facility and is listed in a stable condition. The attacker was apprehended shortly after the police arrival. His identity was not revealed.
