According to an Alabama sheriff's investigator, a suspect pretended helping officials in order to find a 11-year-old girl who he allegedly strangled to death early this month.
Christopher Wayne Madison, 33-year-old, could face the capital murder in the death of Alexis Barnett of Georgia who was living with her aunt and was a neighbor of the suspect, prosecutors said.
Court documents showed that Madison made a failed attempt to find the girl by searching the woods near the residence.
On March 2, investigator's succeed to discovered Barnett's body in the area with a blue rope around her neck.
During the investigation inside the suspect's home, officials found additional ropes, a clamp and a bolt that he reportedly used for "bondage" activity.
