According to a report, a California landowner beat an alleged intruder last Sunday with a baseball bat after hearing the alleged 33-year-old intruder at his home in Turlock.
The owner, who was not identified, woke up, heard the alleged, brought his stick and hit the stranger.
The alleged intruder was bleeding and bruised when a woman ran to a neighbor's house to call 911.
The alleged intruder, who was not identified, was taken to the hospital in critical condition. No arrests were made.
Sheila Barrios, who lives in the area where the incident occurred, said that burglaries often took place in the area.
