Authorities in Montgomery County, Texas are investigating the deaths of a man and woman as a murder-suicide.
Deputies conducting a welfare check at a home on Avenue C near FM 1486 between Montgomery and Plantersville found the victims’ bodies at around 9:30 p.m.

The victims, identified as 62-year-old Stacy Wright and 61-year-old Cathryn-Wright, were found with apparent gunshot wounds.
Relatives of the victims alerted police after they failed to contact them. The incident was considered isolated by the Sheriff’s Office.
“This is a heartbreaking event, and our sincerest condolences go out to the families involved,” the department said in a statement.
